Making films is hard. Making films is very expensive. Making films is perhaps one of the most collaborative endeavors one can imagine. And all that it takes to make a film – hundreds of crew, cast, years of negotiations, money, and logistics – starts with a script, with a story. As humans, we have been telling each other stories since even the earliest forms of communication, and storytelling remains one of our most powerful tools for human connection to this day.

JEAN-FRANÇOIS CAVELIER
Producer - Distributor
Originally from Paris, France, Jean-François Cavelier has more than 30 years’ experience in domestic and international film sales and distribution. He is known among his peers for his strong communication skills and for his relationship-building ability. He held the position of Domestic & International Distribution Consultant for Comerica Bank (Los Angeles), Liberty International (Los Angeles), Pueblo (Geneva, Switzerland), and Syrena (Warsaw, Poland).
Cavelier has been active over the past twenty years in the acquisition and production of media content in Mainland China, Latin America, and Europe as well as in the distribution of Hollywood content to the global markets. He also acted as a producer for the biggest budget feature film ever produced in China, Air Strike, a WW2 epic film, negotiating the hiring of Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson respectively as Lead Actor and Consultant to the Chinese Director. Recently, Cavelier was the co-producer of “Wonders of the Sea”, a feature documentary narrated by Arnold Schwarzenegger and directed by Jean-Michel Cousteau. He is active in the protection of the environment and marine sustainability through the documentary films he represents.
With his production and consulting company Gallico Media, he works with talented producers, screenwriters, and directors. Cavelier also consults with and lectures on a regular basis to filmmakers and producers about the business of film and television distribution – a side of the industry with which most are not familiar.
HENRY WALKER
Development Manager
Henry Walker is an actor, photographer, and development manager. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in drama, during which time he worked on different sets such as Orange is the New Black and Billions.
Henry, now bicoastal, currently lives in Los Angeles where he recently worked as an Assistant Photo Editor for Industry Art Works. Henry is very excited to work as Development Manager for Gallico Media Consulting and Gallico Productions.
SORIN BALUTA
Production/Distribution Manager
Sorin has a great passion for cinema and sees it as an invaluable object capable of reflecting our culture and our times. For the past two years he has been working in film sales, acquisitions and finance. He is interested in the process of filmmaking as a combination between artistic sensibility and entrepreneurial discipline.
He has represented various catalogues of titles for sales for numerous producers and companies and is currently acquiring World Cinema titles for airline companies.
He also has a personal catalogue of films which he represents and he offers from time to time producers consultancy in the areas of sales/distribution. He is involved in the finance and development of a series of upcoming projects and works closely with producers towards building a solid finance plan and finding the sources to execute it. He has been present at all the major film festivals and markets around the world for the past three years.
